Here’s another reason to hate Isiah Thomas. Fox Sports’ Charley Rosen takes a look back at the history of the Continental Basketball League, which is nearing an end. The league helped developed the coaching talents of Phil Jackson and George Karl, as well as players John Starks and Henry Bibby. Rosen also takes a shot at Thomas, who bought the league for $9 million in hopes of selling it to the NBA for a quick profit. When the deal fell through, Thomas was no where to be found. His punishment for ruining an entire league? Manhandling one of the premier franchises in the NBA. New York Knicks fans are still bitter.

Rosen says Mayo needs to show some pride.

Entering the midway point of the season, Fox Sports provides a report card on the Eastern Conference, courtesy of Charley Rosen. The Miami Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers score A-pluses, powered by young superstars Dwayne Wade, who Rosen says has been playing out of his mind, and LeBron James. On the flip side, the Washington Wizards, Indiana Pacers and the Toronto Raptors lag the pack. The Wizards are flunking, while the Pacers and Raptors each earned a D-minus for their troubles. The grades aren’t a comparison between teams, but how they’ve performed relative to their talent and abilities. Yes, the Wizards have been that disappointing.
