The San Antonio Spurs kicked it off by trading for All-Star-caliber forward Richard Jefferson. With the season nearly wrapped up, it’s time to present our awards for the end of the season. We’ve been treated to another strong season, and the playoffs promise to be even more intense. But rather than the usual accolades, we at Ball or Die have devised our own set of categories we felt deserved merit and recognition. Phoenix Suns at Cleveland Cavaliers. Only a few games worth noting this week as we head into the NBA All-Star break. First up is the Suns visiting the Cavs in Cleveland. The Cavs will be playing at home for the first time since losing there to the Lakers on Sunday, snapping their perfect 23-0 home winning streak to start the season. Read more
FIRST-TIME ALL-STAR SUGGESTIONS

Devin Harris, Al Jefferson and Danny Granger should make the All-Star team for the first time, says Sports Illustrated’s Ian Thomsen. Jason Terry, LaMarcus Aldridge, Al Harrington and Josh Smith are others that should be considered candiates. He acknowledges that not everyone’s going to make it. Deron Williams is an elite point guard, but he likely won’t make the cut.
