O.J. MAYO LACKS PASSION

Rookie Memphis Grizzlies guard O.J. Mayo isn’t as selfish as advertised, and his defense is actually pretty good, says Fox Sports’ Charley Rosen. His problem lies in the passive attitude that envelops his game. Maybe it’s playing for the lowly Grizzlies. Let’s face it, it’s hard to get motivated playing for that squad. Rosen says Mayo needs to show some pride.

MEMPHIS: WELCOME BACK, GASOL (SORT OF)

Los Angeles Lakers forward Pau Gasol will return to Memphis to face his old team, the Grizzlies. It’s the first time he’s returned since the blockbuster trade last year that sent him to L.A. While things have worked out well for him playing alongside Kobe Bryant, they haven’t gone as swimmingly for the Grizzlies. Will he be welcomed back? Booed. No one really knows. It’ll be an interesting match-up either way - the Lakers have lost two in a row and have clearly lost some mojo.
